This is one of my first photos in a new selection of shots to be uploaded here. This was taken in lakeland this past 2 weeks. It was rain for most of the time and that gave way to some really great photography with clouds. This shot was fairly late in the evening hence the colours.
If there is one thing I always take away with me from the lakes is that the light changes from moment to moment and is always supprising you or me for that matter.
This shot was taken on the first evening I was there at derwent water looking out to Cat Bells (on the right), Maiden Moor, High Spy and the Borrowdale Fells in the mist and cloud which you probably cant see.
I used my tilt and shift lens to create a true panaramic format photo hence the odd format. read my journal if you want to find out more.
I also used an ND.6 and .9 grad filters to even up the sky and the rocks. I have enhanced the tonal curves in photoshop.
