Artist's Comments

This is one of the last photographs in this series on the Lake District and I hope they have been a pleasent supprise to you all. It's certainly been an experience for me.

This shot is of the Newlands Valley taken from Causey Pike looking south to Dale Head in the center and High Spy and Maiden Moor to the left and Hindscarth and Robinson mountains to the right.

Again this is a true panaramic photograph taken with my tilt and shift lens. I used 2 ND Grad filters (0.6 and 0.9) to bring the sky into contrast with the ground and also a polariser to saturate the colours.

Comments welcome... BUT as always this is not HDR so don't go asking about it... I dont do HDR ;)

Beautiful!! The colours (especially then early sunset colours) are perfect.

It was brave of you to only take a manual focus lens with you. I would feel pretty bad if I would have to pass an opportunity to get a good shot with a lens that I left home =/

Typically beautiful and the sun coming through the clouds really brings out the greens in the valley. :)

Thanks again for sharing these.
